There’s something about graffiti that’s appealing to some people. Some can turn it into fantastic art instead of just crudely spraying their name on a wall. Others use graffiti to send political or social messages. There’s something that’s innately appealing about writing on the walls. However, it’s illegal to do on property you don’t own, and can be a real bear to clean up. However there are ways to do it in your own home that are actually not inconvenient or even remotely illegal. Writing on the walls is fun, it’s a great way to express yourself, but if you don’t want to force someone else to have to clean something up then it’s something you’re best off doing on your own.
One of the more fun ways to make writing on the walls possible in your own home is with dry erase paint. This allows you to turn an entire wall or more into a dry erase board. If you want that means with dry erase markers you can take up writing on the walls, or doodling on the walls, you can leave messages to yourself or others, or you can simply write something down that you need to remember. You can let your kids or young relatives decorate your walls, you can make things look different and new anytime you want with only a pass of an eraser. This doesn’t work for political or meaningful writing on the walls that you feel the need to expose to the public. There are means to do that which are legal as well, but protest is rarely about such things.
However, writing on the walls isn’t always protest or politics, or even self aggrandizement. People have been sharing stories and ideas on the walls of their homes for a long time. Even now when we hang posters, art, prints, or any other decoration we’re making statements about who we are and what we like. These aren’t always bold statements, but writing on the walls can be a human thing. We can make mundane dull statements about sports affiliations, movie preferences or the like. We can also make political, religious or cultural statements. Writing on the walls is essentially about declaring your house to be your home and making it your own inside and out. Dry erase paint lets you do that as literally or as figuratively as you like. If you’re into abstract art you can express yourself freely and easily on the wall, and then in a few minutes clear it off and put something new up when your mood changes.
