OK – I know; he photographs events; but, I still ask what does that mean? Does he go around looking for news to happen and, when it does, he takes some photographs of it? If that is the case, shouldn’t he be called a news photographer? News photographers fall into two classes – free lance independents who take their pictures and then try to sell them; or, staff photographers on the payroll of some sort of news organization. I have a feeling that neither type of news photographer would consider themselves to be an Event Photographer In Northern Virginia or anywhere else for that matter.
An Event Need Not Be News
When I get up in the morning; that is an event; but, I do not see pressmen barricading my house to get the scoop on my awakening and, again, this is not the arena where any self respecting Event Photographer In Northern Virginia makes his daily living. However, next month, I will be waking up on the morning of my son’s 10TH birthday and we have planned a special outing to the zoo for him and his little chums. This will culminate in a zoo party with monkeys and other “petting” animals; clowns, games food and drink – the whole shooting match. Now that is an event and I hope it is the sort of event that I can pay an Event Photographer In Northern Virginia to be on hand to photograph everything from the moment my son awakes; right through to when when he finally falls asleep.
You see; my wife and I had to move out to California 11 years ago (for work related reasons); leaving both our parents back in New York and they are a little too old to come out west and be here for their grandson’s birthday. Therefore, we thought that, rather than a selection of our own amateur snapshots, we would have a photographic record of the whole day; professionally shot and printed out for 4 nice albums – one for us; one for my son to look at in his later years and one each for our parents. If we have selected wisely, the albums; resulting out of the work of our Event Photographer In Northern Virginia; will be such a true record of that day that our parents will almost feel that they were out here with us.
Whatever you are organizing; if you plan to record it for posterity, you are going to need an Event Photographer For Northern Virginia and the Rodney Bailey photojournalism group are just the people you will need.
