While everyone has a preference, most coaches and teams will require some type of volleyball bags for their balls. Whether during practice or the big game, you will likely need more than one ball for the duration, so you can quickly continue playing, even if the ball rolls way out of bounds. For this reason, you’ll likely want to consider the different bags available, including Wilson, Tachikara, Molten, Mizuno, Asics and Mikasa.
Wilson
The Wilson brand of ball bags offers two variations. The first is a large bag and the other is a tube bag. The regular all-ball bag is a variation of the mesh bag that can hold up to 18 inflated volleyballs at once and has a drawstring enclosure so the balls do not escape.
The tube bag is a narrow ball bag of great length that can be held over the shoulder or by hand. It is black nylon and holds up to six inflated volleyballs. While this version may not be a great choice for those with many balls, it can be great for sand volleyball games.
Tachikara
The Tachikara brand offers three different options, from the all-purpose bag to the mesh to the duffle-like bag. The all-purpose bag is 37 inches high and can hold between 12 and 15 inflated balls. The bag is nylon and contains mesh towards the top of the bag only, along with a drawstring close tie.
The mesh option is inexpensive and can hold eight to 12 bags total. It also includes a drawstring and cord-lock. The TV6 bag is a rectangular nylon option with shoulder straps that adjust. It can only hold six inflated volleyballs, but comes in multiple colors and is wider for easier carrying.
Mizuno
This brand offers a stand-up bag with a 20 inch base and it is quite large at 31 inches high. Two of the sides are mesh, though the rest is diamond ripstop nylon and it can hold up to 15 balls. It offers a toggle closure and shoulder strap for easy carrying.
Asics
Though extremely large at 29 inches long, it is similar to the Molten and Tachikara bags, but can hold up to 12 volleyballs.
Mikasa
There are three variations of bags offered by this brand, including the duffel bag, tube and regular bag. Both of the bags offer shoulder straps and carrying straps and can hold many balls, though the tube bag can hold up to six.
